C4I Diversification Program

C4I technologies have important uses in civilian areas as well as the traditional military applications. C4I Center faculty are performing research on noisy speech reduction for hearing aids. In collaboration with Research Development Corporation, a Virginia small business, the C4I Center is developing a computer based educational game that utilizes artificial intelligence technology to teach statistics to junior high school students.

Distributed education technologies are broadly applicable; in fact, several GMU programs are using real-time delivery technology that the Center has developed for distance education.
